For best results, it should be applied in spring when weeds are small and growing rapidly, as well as in fall to remove late germinating weeds.

Spot treatment is defined as a treatment area no greater than 1,000 sq. ft. per acre, with a maximum application rate of 4 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. per application. The maximum number of spot treatments is limited to 2 per year, with a minimum of 30 days between applications.

For treatment of St. Augustinegrass, Centipedegrass, and Bahiagrass, the recommended mix is 2/3 fl. oz. (4 teaspoons) in 1 gallon of water, to be uniformly sprayed over 330 sq. ft. However, do not apply to these grasses when emerging from winter dormancy, as temperatures below 45ºF within 72 hours of application may cause damage. Additionally, the product should not be used on "Floratam" St. Augustinegrass in Florida.

For treatment of Bermudagrass, Buffalograss, and Bentgrass, the recommended mix is 1 fl. oz. (2 Tbs) in 1 gallon of water, to be uniformly sprayed over 330 sq. ft. For Kentucky Bluegrass, Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, and Zoysiagrass, the recommended mix is 1-1/3 fl. oz. (8 teaspoons) in 1 gallon of water, to be uniformly sprayed over 330 sq. ft.
